Guardian Controls Limited established in 1985 has its Corporate office in Cochin, India and manufacturing facility at Thodupuzha, in the suburbs of Cochin. GCL employs more than 300 persons and has a team of experienced engineers and technical persons.
 
The Research & Development facility of Guardian Controls Ltd. is recognised by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The company is ISO 9001:2000 certified for the manufacture of electromechanical relays. Several products are approved by Ministry of Defence (LCSO) and, Centre for Development of Telematics(C- DoT).GUARDIAN is the largest supplier of telecom relays in India and well respected throughout Automotive, Test Equipments, Power Electronics, Industrial Controls, House hold Appliances and other industries.

Manufacturing

GUARDIAN's manufacturing facility is spread over 35,000Sq.ft.,
with environmentally controlled assembly area.

GUARDIAN has its own Tool Room & Fabrication shop equipped with Spark erosion machine, Jig boring machine, Surface grinder, Tool and Cutter Grinder, Milling machine, Moulding machines, Annealing furnace, Tapping Machine, Presses with various capacities, Deburring Machine etc.

All assembly jobs are done in-house by trained personnel.Assembly shop is equipped with Winding Machines, Spot Welding Machines, Pneumatic press, Automatic Fluid Dispenser, Printing Machines, Transfer Moulding & Encapsulation Press, Temperature
Controlled Oven, Vacuum Oven, Storage Oscilloscope, Curing chamber, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Zoom Stereo Microscope etc. In the Plating shop, there are facilities for Nickel Plating, Acid tin Plating, Copper Plating, Zinc Plating, Silver Plating, Gold Plating, Electroless Nickel, Chromate Conversion Coatings etc.


The relays are inspected for all operating parameters and random samples are subjected to life test in the Test Laboratory. The Test & Measuring equipments include Computerised Relay Test System, Profile Projector, Salt Spray Test Chamber, Hot Cold Chamber, Slip Gauges, LCRQ Meter, Million Meg Ohm Meter, High voltage Breakdown Tester, Milli Ohm meter, Dial Test Indicator, Micrometer, Gram Gauge etc.
